Our professional cleaning is the first step in wedding dress preservation, and the sooner you can get the wedding dress to Blue Ribbon Cleaners, the better.
Brides often wait up to six weeks to take their dresses to be cleaned, and that’s no good! By that time, stains will have had time to really set it. Take your dress off as soon as the reception is over and make sure it gets to the dry cleaner the very next day. If you’re jetting off on a honeymoon, arrange for a bridesmaid or your mother to take it for you!
A member of our trained staff at Blue Ribbon Cleaners will thoroughly examine your dress when it first arrives. The hem of the dress, where you might have dragged it through the mud, grass or a dirty dance floor, will be hand cleaned. The top of the bodice is also hand cleaned. The dress then is carefully examined to determine if there are any other stains.
Once all the stains are removed your dress is individually cleaned in environmentally safe wet cleaning depending on the fabric and the manufacturer’s recommendations. Your dress is then individually dried. We thoroughly examine the dress again to make sure it is perfect.
